Every gram, and every dollar that bought it.

Corelith records the gold from the scale to the door as one chain, and the float that went out to buy it. Every movement in between carries a name, a time and an instrument.

One weighing, and everything downstream reads from it.The scale writes the weight. The intake ticket, the assay result and the settlement all point back to that one entry, so the figure the seller was shown at the counter is the figure in the ledger at month-end. Illustrative lot.

Three questions decide whether you keep the licence and the client. This page answers them in that order.

The first question

From the scale to delivery, each movement is one entry made where the work happened, with the person, the minute and the instrument on it. The chain below is the whole answer.

The second question

Cash goes out to a buyer at six in the morning. By close it must be gold, cash, or a difference with somebody's name on it. Not a sum reconstructed from a book.

The third question

The answer that costs you is “I don't know.” Every correction keeps the old value, the new value, the person, the minute and the reason they typed.

One lot, from the scale to the door, and a name on every link.

The seller can read the arithmetic back to you

A dispute at a buying counter is almost never about honesty. It is about two people holding different numbers. Corelith builds the settlement out of figures that were captured in front of the seller — the weight on the scale, the variance against what they declared, the assay that came back and the rate that was locked at six in the morning.

The difference between declared and weighed is printed, not buried
The rate is locked once for the day, centrally — never typed at the counter
The seller walks out with a slip carrying the same lines you keep

Two-person release

The payout that will not go through

Choose the movements that need a second name: a payout over your threshold, a weight correction, a release from the vault. The person who raised it cannot be the person who approves it, and while it waits, everyone on the floor can see exactly what it is waiting for.

  • The approver sees the weight, the grade, the rate and the amount on one panel before signing
  • Nothing is quietly parked — a held payout stays visible on the lot
  • A refusal is an entry too, with the reason typed by the person who refused

Custom milling

A milling run is a lot too

A custom mill holds ore that belongs to somebody else and has to give back a share that stands up to a question. Corelith records the run the way it records a purchase: entries made at the time, by named people, against the client's own lot.

  • Each client's ore is its own lot, from the tip to the return
  • Tailings are sampled and referenced, so a run does not end at the table
  • Recovery is not estimated — it is what came out over what the sample said went in

A reason is required before this float closes.

A float can be issued in USD, in ZWG, or in both, and reconciles in each currency separately
A buyer cannot close their own float. The count at the end carries a second name
An open difference follows the buyer into tomorrow until somebody names it

The value that was there stays on the record next to the one that replaced it. Both are readable a year later.

A cancelled lot stays on the register, marked cancelled, with the reason and the person who cancelled it.

The reason code and the sentence are required fields. A correction with neither does not save at all.

Above the threshold you set, the change and the approval must carry two different names.

The questions you get asked, and where each answer comes from.

Where did this gold come from?

The intake entry on the lot: the party, their identification reference, the site and the minute it was taken in.

On the lot

Who handled it, and with what?

The custody log in the order it happened, with the role, the instrument used and the witness on each movement.

Where cameras are installed, a weighing carries the footage of that minute. Open the entry, open the clip. It does not accuse anybody; it removes the argument.

“The argument used to be about whose figure was right. Now there is one figure, it has a name and a minute on it, and the seller was standing at the bench when it was taken.”

What gold operators ask us first

No, and we will not say otherwise. Software does not make anyone compliant, and we make no claim that any authority approves, endorses or accepts our records. What Corelith does is hold the evidence in one place — weights, custody, corrections with their reasons, fiscalised settlement receipts and exportable logs — so that when you are asked to show your record, you have one. On fiscalisation specifically, Corelith is registered with ZIMRA to sign directly against the FDMS — a technical registration to integrate, and not an endorsement of anything else we do. What that record needs to contain is a conversation for you and your own adviser, and we configure to it.

Start with the lot you argued about.

One real intake, the assay that came back, and what you eventually paid for it. We put all three through Corelith and show you the chain, the settlement arithmetic and the export at the end.
