Q: Our asset list is a spreadsheet. Can you bring it in?

Yes. Machines, serials, branches, in-service dates and current readings import during onboarding, and whatever service history you have goes on with them. What you cannot supply, the register starts collecting from the first job card.

Q: Outside contractors do most of our repairs. Does it still work?

Yes, and it is one of the reasons the board exists. A contractor sits on the same callout board as your own technicians, their hours go on the same card at their own rate, and their invoice attaches to the job it paid for. In-house and hired-in compare on one page.

Q: Do we need Corelith Stock before we can use Maintenance?

No. Parts can be typed onto a card with their cost. With Stock, the part comes off the shelf as the card is written and the reorder point already knows — but Maintenance does not wait on it.

Q: Our technicians work at a mine site with no internet. What happens there?

The card is written on the device at the site — parts, hours, photographs, the sign-off — and posts in order when the internet comes back. Nothing is written on paper to be typed up back at the workshop.

Q: Who can see the machine's costs?

That is a role setting. A technician sees the cards they work; a workshop manager sees the register and what each machine has cost; a branch manager sees their own branch. The costs are not on a screen everybody opens.

Corelith Maintenance keeps the fault, the technician, the parts drawn and the hours worked against the machine. The history stays with the machine when the technician leaves.

Seven jobs on one asset file, with parts, hours and downtime against each — which is the figure you need when somebody asks whether the machine is worth keeping.

The morning it breaks

Down at 06:40. Signed off at 12:05.

The power goes at ten past six and the rest of the morning is on one card: who raised the fault, who was sent, which parts left the shelf, how long the machine was off and who tested it before it went back into service. Nobody reconstructs it afterwards from three phone calls.

Preventive schedules

A diary date does not know how hard the machine worked

Set the interval once, per machine, in the unit that actually wears it out — every 10 000 kilometres, every 250 run-hours, every quarter. The register does the counting. Work coming due in the next month appears while it is still a booking, and a machine past its interval carries a flag until the job is closed.

The technician leaves. The history stays.

The invoice for the part. The warranty. The photograph of the plate. The delivery note from the supplier who fitted it last time. They go onto the machine's record, each one stamped with who filed it and when — so the answer to what we put in it last time is not a phone call to somebody who no longer works here.
