Q: Can we hand someone one folder without giving them the system?

Yes. Choose an obligation, a branch or a month and Corelith writes out the documents as they were filed plus an index in CSV naming each one, its date and the person who filed it. The person you hand it to needs nothing from us to read it.

Q: Can a manager delete a change or remove a document?

No. A change keeps the value it replaced, with the reason, the person and the minute, and the line cannot be removed. Moving a due date or replacing a filed document waits for a second name. Opening a document leaves a line too, so “who has seen this” has an answer as well.

Q: What happens to our documents if we leave Corelith?

They come with you, in full, on request — the files as they were filed and the index naming each one, at no charge and in a format you can read elsewhere. We do not hold a business hostage with a proprietary format.

Corelith keeps the answer on a dated record with an owner, the document attached and every change to it still visible. Producing the evidence takes minutes, not a week.

Licences lapse because nobody was watching the date

It is the one everybody assumed somebody else was watching. Put the date on the record with a name against it and the record does the watching — through the month-end rush, through the branch manager leaving, through the year you forgot it existed. A renewal stays open until the replacement document is on the record.

The audit trail

A correction never erases what it replaced

Every touch on a record keeps its own line, in order, with the person who made it and the moment they did. The old value sits beside the new one with the reason between them, so a figure that changed twice in a year can be read as two decisions rather than as one number nobody trusts.

A shared drive knows a file exists. It does not know which delivery, which licence or which pay run the file belongs to, and it does not know who put it there. Here the document is filed against the record, and it carries the person who filed it and the day they did.
