The tills keep selling on their own batteries and the events they write queue up locally. The cameras only record while they have power, so a clip for a moment during an outage may not exist — and the review screen says the camera was down rather than showing you an empty player. When the power and the internet come back, the queued events post in order and attach to whatever footage there is.

You set the retention, and it is the one setting we will not choose for you. Continuous footage stays on the recorder in the shop; the short clips around flagged events are what the review screen reaches for. Both are yours, and both are covered in scoping so the answer is a number you agreed rather than a default you inherited.

Corelith CCTV puts a clip next to a transaction; what that clip shows, whether it settles anything, and what your obligations are for notices, retention and staff consent are matters for you and your own advisers. We make no claim about the evidential weight of anything the system holds.

That depends far more on how you introduce it than on the software. What the product actually does is narrow: it flags four till actions above an amount you set, and opens twenty-odd seconds around one of them. There is no scoring, no ranking and no following anybody around the shop. In practice the cashier who did nothing is the one it protects most often, because “I do not know what happened” stops being the only available answer.
