Q: Do you handle ZIMRA fiscalisation, and do we need a physical fiscal device?

The fiscal receipt is signed as the sale completes — virtually, or through a fiscal device you already own. If you have a device, Corelith drives it; if you do not, there is no new box to buy. Either way the signed receipt is kept beside the entry it produced, and the two are counted against each other every day.

Q: Does running Corelith make us compliant with ZIMRA?

No, and we will not tell you otherwise. What Corelith does is produce the fiscal record against each sale, sign it at the till and reconcile that register with your books every day, so the evidence exists, agrees and can be produced for any date range. Corelith is not approved, certified, endorsed or accredited by ZIMRA, and we make no claim on their behalf. What your obligations are, and how a return is prepared and filed, is a matter for you and your accountant.

Q: We are mid-year. Can you load opening balances and what has happened so far?

Yes. Guided onboarding loads the opening balances your accountant gives us and reconciles them against your own figures before anything goes live. Where you want the year to date in as well, that is scoped with you first rather than assumed.

Takings, supplier bills, account customers and the ZIMRA fiscal receipts behind them are in the books by the time you lock up, in USD and ZWG. Month-end stops being a rebuild from paper.

Trial balance, the books in full and transaction detail export line by line, with the tax settings the two of you configured.

Each signed fiscal receipt sits against the entry it produced, and the two counts are laid against each other daily — so a gap is visible on the day it appears, not four weeks later.

Corelith writes the entry, the rate, the age and the trail. Your bookkeeper still decides the chart of accounts, the accruals, the year-end and what an unusual transaction actually is.

A sale at the counter is one event with several halves: goods out, money in, cost of sales, the ZIMRA fiscal receipt. Corelith writes all of them at once. Nobody re-enters the day from a till roll, because the till already said it.

Each signed receipt is kept beside the entry it produced, and the two totals sit on one screen. A receipt with no entry behind it, or an entry with no receipt, is shown on the day it happens rather than found three weeks later. Every invoice keeps its issue date, its due date, what has been paid against it and how old the balance is — so Monday's call is to the name at the top of the list. A supplier bill is captured against the delivery it arrived with, so it cannot be paid twice and cannot go missing behind a counter.
